Hi guys! So here’s the deal.  I’ve always wanted to start a blog (a real blog, not like a live journal that I had in high school to vent about all my feels), but I’ve talked myself out of it over and over again.  After just thinking about it for like three years, I’m taking the plunge.  If nothing else, at least I’ll have some place to put my words instead of in my long AF instagram captions that no one wants to read, amirite? But I’ll share with you my why’s and goals.

My instagram is my home. While social media can feel like an ocean of beautiful pictures of other peoples’ lives, it is also a community that supports and encourages one another. I’ve formed friendships and found a place that I can go to vent.  Being a working mom can be hard, and having a virtual space to connect has been an incredible outlet. If you’re here from my insta, thank you for being a part of the community I love!

I like having different outlets.  Yes, there are a million mommy bloggers (anyone else kind of hate that term?).  Yes, I feel intimidated by the number of people who probably have way better things to say.  Yes, I am a mom to two under two and barely have the time to shower (wait, what am I doing here?).  But I’m finding new things I’m passionate about and new outlets to be me, which help keep me sane(ish).

I’m working towards status: boss babe aka mother hustler, lady boss, momprenuer.  Being a working mom means having something for me.  And through instagram and my side business, I’m building a job that’s suited for me. I’m using my brain in different ways.  I’m sharing what I love, and hopefully building a space where you can learn and share too.

So that’s it.  I have some fun blog ideas planned including two under two (don’t do it), traveling with children (also don’t do it), and new mom essentials (basically just my favorite wines).  And if I can ever figure out LIKEtoKNOWit, I’ll share all my favorites for me, the boys, and our home (does it confuse anyone else? just me? blogger fail).

If you’re a fellow blogger/instamom, tell me your why.  I love this graphic by my friend Rachel of Same Here Podcast.  It’s a nice reminder that there’s room for all of us and we’re better together.

Congrats love! I can’t wait to follow along and what a great graphic, I totally agree!

  3. Congratulations on the blog and looking forward to reading more! I started mine as a way to share my family’s memories and it has turned into so much more than that. Blogging isn’t easy but the community and support around it is amazing. Xo Sierra Beautifully Candid

  4. I just love you! You say so much of what I am thinking and it’s just crazy because our lives couldn’t be more different. Well I guess we could have different names. Haha! Thank you for all of your words, your HONESTY and your witt. I am so glad that our paths have crossed and I am so happy that you didn’t leave IG like we all think about doing (daily!!).
